Date de mise à jour : 01/07/2020 - THE PROPERTYWelcome to ‘St Remy de Provence farmhouse'.Located only a 5-minute walk from the center of Saint Remy de Provence lies an authentic Provençal "mas", (traditional farmhouse) nestled in 1.5 hectares of uninterrupted natural beauty. This farmhouse includes 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, dining room, tv room and laundry and can accommodate 8 guests. The kitchen has seen many family gatherings over the years and the garden is, as one would expect, at the heart of this Provençal house.THE HOUSEA main attraction to this property is the 15 x 5 m swimming pool, complete with diving board. The adjoining pool house contains a selection of garden furniture such as comfortable sunbeds, perfect for reclining on lazy afternoons.The well-equipped kitchen has all the necessary appliances so that you can cook just like at home, with enough space to accommodate large family mealtimes. Family favourite recipe books have been left in the kitchen for you to experiment with French cuisine.In the 18th century, the now dining room would have been the center of the ‘mas' with the large open fireplace being used to warm the entire house throughout cold winters. A large dining table can sit as many as 12 guests, perfect for hosting memorable dinner parties. Adjacent to this room is the petit salon or small living room, the first-floor stairs, and the main living room.Originally the living room would have been the farm stable, as seen from the large arched window that faces onto the garden, which would have once been the barn doors. With an array of comfortable chairs and couches, this is the perfect place to relax, play french billiards, or perhaps listen to music. The room is elegantly furnished with objects such as a Queen Anne writing desk and a Pierre Lesieur oil painting (one of the most renowned painters in 20th century France).There are 4 amply sized bedrooms; two of which contain a queen sized bed, one a king sized bed and the last 2 twin single beds. The 3 main bedrooms feature large french windows that can be opened up to varying views of the gardens. All rooms have a selection of interesting artwork and furniture, as well as air conditioning.THE LOCATIONThis property is a short walk from the beautiful medieval village of Saint Rémy-de-Provence, which is teeming with history, culture and activities to satisfy all interests. There are also all the necessary amenities here such as the Intermarché supermarket (with 24h fuel service), pharmacies, doctors, dentists and banks (Crédit Agricole, BNP Paribas, Société Générale etc).The birthplace of Nostradamus and the one-time home of Vincent Van Gogh, St Rémy is a cultivator of creativity. This village was where the renowned impressionist painted ‘Starry Night' and ‘Self Portrait', some of his most revered masterpieces. With its medieval cobbled streets, honey-coloured stone and the wild, forested countryside that surrounds it, it is easy to imagine why this place inspired such an artist.If you wish to go even further back in time, the nearby ancient Greek/Roman city of Glanum is well worth a visit. Located on the outskirts of Saint Rémy, you can explore the ruins of the mausoleum and see the oldest Roman arch of the narbonensis region (Roman province in the south of France).For those searching for a more active pastime, this region is perfect for hiking, with the GR6 Hiking Trail going right through Saint Rémy. It allows access into the beautiful forested landscape and goes up into the Alpilles mountains.As for sampling the best food and drink, rest assured there are many options. Market days for St Rémy are Wednesdays and Saturdays, the latter being a food-only market that covers the old square. Here you can purchase local wines, cheeses and other delicacies to enjoy around the pool or in the garden. As for dining away from home, Le Bistrot de Marie on Rue Jaume Roux or indeed any of the charming terraced restaurants found along Boulevard Victor Hugo would make an excellent choice for an evening out. LIMOUSINE CAR SERVICE: Arriving at both CDG and Orly airports, or even at a Train Station, can be a very stressful experience especially when trying to navigate your way to your apartment. To make it easier we have a very simple full-proof solution!When confirming your stay with us, simply request a “private” pickup (not an Airport Shuttle) with one of our VIP Limousine Drivers. He will welcome you outside the French Customs Exit, when arriving by plane, or at the end of the platform, when arriving by train, with a sign bearing your name. He'll then drive you to the apartment's address where one of us will be there to meet you.For a group from 1 to 6 guests plus luggage the transfer from either airport amounts to 100,00€. For an arrival at any train stations within Paris, the transfer amounts to 70,00€.For an arrival at Beauvais airport, the fare amounts to 180,00€.While at it, you can book a return to any airport or train station for the same price quoted above.If you take another type of transport you MUST text or phone us upon leaving the airport or train station at: 01133608074698 from a foreign phone or at: 0608074698 from a French phone. As, if you don't, no one will be there at the building to meet you upon your arrival. Conformément aux dispositions du Code de la consommation, le vacancier ne dispose pas de droit de rétractation sur son contrat de location saisonnière conclu à distance. Il peut cependant bénéficier des conditions d’annulation fixées par le propriétaire.

La relation contractuelle entre le propriétaire et le vacancier est régie par les articles 1100 et suivants du Code civil régissant le droit des obligations et la responsabilité civile.

Conditions d'annulation spéciales Covid-19

Pour toute annulation jusqu'à 24h avant votre arrivée, ce propriétaire s'engage à vous rembourser intégralement en cas de mise en place par l'Etat de dispositions réglementaires liées à la crise sanitaire du Covid-19 vous empêchant de vous rendre sur votre lieu de vacances (confinement, restriction ou interdiction de déplacement, etc.) ou empêchant le propriétaire de mettre à votre disposition sa location (arrêtés préfectoraux interdisant la location saisonnière, conditions sanitaires, mise en isolement du bien et/ou du propriétaire, etc.)

En dehors de ces motifs d'empêchement, le remboursement intégral ne s'applique pas. Nous vous invitons par ailleurs à vérifier qu'une clause relative à ce motif d'annulation soit mentionnée dans votre contrat de location.
